Welcome to Art Affect. The Print Collection from the Art of Jody Craddock
We sincerely hope you enjoy browsing our collection of prints reproducing the art of professional footballer Jody Craddock
Jody Craddock was born in Bromsgrove in 1975, later moving to the South Coast of England.
His love of art started at a young age with his fascination of the letters his great grandfather wrote in World War 1 which were decorated with sketches of his experiences, and so his interest in drawing and art grew.
Jody obtained an A-level in Art, but his art was to be put back as he took a career as a professional footballer. After turning professional in 1993 with Cambridge United, he moved to Sunderland FC in 1997 and more recently to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2003.
In 2002, his artwork progressed from what he deemed as a hobby and an outlet for emotion to the next level - becoming professional in not only football but also as an artist. Over the years his work has been accumulating growing interest and praise, exhibiting from the North East of England to the Midlands and even the capital.
On his arrival at Wolverhampton Wanderers he was commissioned by Sir Jack Hayward and Patty Bloom to create a painting of Wolves promotion to the Premiership in 2003, little did he know that he would go on to captain the Championship winning side of 2009! To commemorate this event, Jody once again painted the team celebrating return to the Premiership and released it as a Limited Edition print.
Jody's work has become increasingly popular, and in order to meet demand it is now available in print under the Art Affect name.
The finest quality print process
Our prints are produced from a high resolution scan of the orininal work using the latest 'giclee' (pronounced zhiklay) print process.
A 'giclee' print is made using the standard four colour print process, but with the addition of several other specific print colours which generates an exceptionally detailed print with highly accurate colour matching to the original work. The use of 'colour-fast' inks prevents colour fade, which is a problem with many lesser quality prints.
All our prints are offered either printed onto paper or canvas. Our chosen paper is a high quality 315 gram acid-free cotton canvas art paper and the canvas prints are printed onto a 100% cotton pure white canvas. Canvas prints are stretched onto wood frames with the corners cut and folded neatly to a depth of 35mm and ready to hang.
Limited Editions
As our prints are produced as Limited Editions, all prints are signed by Jody and come supplied with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, which too is signed.
